| To be is to be the value of a variable. This is what I believe. The intellect may find possibilities in other ideas, it may aspire to noble concepts, and it may play with and be seduced by rational explanations. Ultimately, in our daily existence we are of value in so much only as others value us, as the other provides the mirroring, in a primal mother and child dynamic. This is not a fight between one and another; it is acceptable as part of the absolute of oneness, unity, non dualism. We cannot and it is unnecessary to escape the power of the ego, we can only observe it in action and watch where it leads us and be aware of its provocations. As we understand unity, we must also embrace the theory of separatism. One notion is not higher or lower than the other, i.e. there is no higher or lower self. In our journey through life we are looking for validation through our associations and activities, we strive to find the tune or harmony in another’s eyes, because in fact they are our own eyes, regardless of moral or any other structure of thought that endeavours to create order. Appositionally the human is alone in its quest of the soul. These two aspects are inseparable; this is the yoke we desire, or shackle we despise. It is impossible to be free of conditioning because we create our own conditioning by the driving force that wishes for acceptance. Even when we meet a soul mate that mate has a different perception of reality than us, isolation and its incumbent sensations are inescapable. This is a union of two that have never been separate. http://www.kripaluyogaistanbul.com |
